LME to launch Asia desk

The London Metal Exchange will open LME Asia, its first overseas office, in Singapore in April. The office will be headed by its commercial director Liz Milan.

The exchange hopes to capitalise on growing opportunities in the region, including any liberalisation of trade restrictions in China. It already has 26 Category One and Two members represented in the region.
