During a 12 month design and build process, the bank chose what it called “best of breed providers” to provide low latency intercontinental land and subsea cable routes for fully resilient global connectivity.

Local dark fibre and DWDM metropolitan links are combined with Clear Channel bandwidth to create what the bank believes is one of the fastest and most diverse global trading networks in the world.

Alongside Fortis Clearing’s local hosting facilities, the FCGN allows its clients to route trading traffic from their offices or Fortis Clearing’s rack space in one location to a trading venue or execution platform next door or on the other side of the world.

The FCGN covers Sydney, Singapore, New York, Chicago, Tokyo, Osaka, Frankfurt and London.
