De Sousa to head NYSE Euronext Lisbon

Luis Laginha de Sousa will become chairman and chief executive of NYSE Euronext Lisbon from July 1, subject to regulatory approval.

He will be a member of the managing board of Euronext NV and the management committee of NYSE Euronext.

De Sousa, who is 44, joined the company in 2005 as chief operating officer. Before Euronext, he was an executive member on the board of Caixaweb.

He takes over from Miguel Athayde Marques.
