Bursa Malaysia picks Datuk Syed as director

Datuk Syed Muhamad Syed Abdul Kadir has become non-executive and public interest director of Bursa Malaysia.

He was appointed by the minister of finance, pursuant to section 10 of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.

Syed is a non-executive director of CIMB Group, the Malaysian bank, a former director of the Asian Development Bank, and has held senior positions in the education and finance ministries and the treasury.
