SocGen hires Martin and Bell in electronic sales

Société Générale is strengthening its quantitative electronic services team by hiring Ian Martin and Johnny Bell in London, reporting to Mark Goodman, its European head.

Martin joins in both a sales and sales trading capacity, focusing on UK institutions and hedge funds. He was a director in EMEA execution sales at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Bell will also perform a hybrid sales and sales trading role, focusing on UK brokers and some continental markets.

He was one of the original members of the Credit Suisse Advanced Execution Services team.
